CSGO: FaZe, G2 win group finales at BLAST Premier Spring

G2 Esports and FaZe Clan both rolled to sweeps in their respective group finals Thursday at the BLAST Premier Spring Groups event in Copenhagen, Denmark.

FaZe defeated OG 2-0 to take Group B and G2 swept past Natus Vincere to claim Group C. G2 and FaZe advance to the Spring Final.

OG and Na’Vi join Group A runner-up Team Heroic in Round 2 of the play-in stage, which begins Friday.

G2 defeated Na’Vi 16-6 on Inferno and 16-10 on Nuke to advance. Nikola “NiKo” Kovac of Bosnia and Herzegovina posted a whopping plus-30 kills-to-deaths differential for G2 on 53 kills.

FaZe advanced with a 16-14 win on Mirage and 16-6 on Ancient. Latvia’s Helvijs “broky” Saukants paced FaZe Clan with 42 kills and a plus-13 K-D differential.

A prize pool of $177,498 will be distributed to the 12 participants in the Spring event, with $27,500 going to the top three finishers along with qualification for the Spring Final later this season.

Play-in stage action begins Friday with two Round 1 matches:
Team Liquid vs. BIG
Evil Geniuses vs. Complexity
