CSGO: ENCE, Fnatic start strong at DreamHack Open November 2021

ENCE and Fnatic each recorded a sweep in their respective opening matches on Wednesday at the DreamHack Open November 2021.

In a Group B match, ENCE dispatched forZe by virtue of a 16-13 win on Ancient and 16-10 victory on Nuke.

Israel’s Lotan “Spinx” Giladi collected 42 kills and a plus-12 kills-to-death differential for ENCE, who face Fnatic in the winners’ match on Thursday.

Andrey “Jerry” Mekhryakov had 43 kills and fellow Russian Aleksandr “zorte” Zagodyrenko had a plus-9 kills-to-death differential for forZe. The club will square off against Team Spirit in an elimination match on Thursday.

Fnatic swept Team Spirit after posting a 16-9 win on Mirage and 16-4 rout on Inferno.

Sweden’s Ludvig “Brollan” Brolin recorded 41 kills and a plus-19 kills-to-death differential for Fnatic.

Team Spirit was paced by Russia’s Robert “Patsi” Isyanov, who had 29 kills and a minus-7 kills-to-death differential.

In Group A action, BIG secured a 2-1 victory over Team GamerLegion and MAD Lions did the same versus MOUZ.

BIG sandwiched a 16-12 win on Mirage and 16-14 victory on Vertigo around a 19-16 setback on Overpass.

Denmark’s Nicklas “gade” Gade had 75 kills and a plus-20 kills-to-death differential for BIG, who will face MAD Lions in a winners’ match on Thursday.

Sweden’s Sean “eraa” Knutsson collected 68 kills and a plus-6 kills-to-death differential for Team GamerLegion, who will tangle with MOUZ in an elimination match on Thursday.

MAD Lions sandwiched a 16-12 win on Dust II and 16-8 victory on Mirage around a 16-10 setback on Nuke.

Denmark’s Thomas “TMB” Bundsbaek had 69 kills and a plus-17 kills-to-death differential for MAD Lions.

MOUZ was paced by Denmark’s Frederik “acoR” Gyldstrand (62 kills) and Estonia’s Robin “ropz” Kool (plus-7 kills-to-death differential).

All matches are best-of-three in the four-team group stage. The top two teams from each group advance to the playoffs, which are single elimination. The semifinals are a best-of-three set, while the grand final is a best-of-five.
