Team Vitality, C9 and Eternal Fire posted victories Saturday to advance to the playoff stage at PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 in Denmark.

Vitality defeated Complexity 2-1, C9 posted a 2-1 win over Natus Vincere and Eternal Fire was a 2-1 winner over Virtus.pro in Saturday’s high matches.

FaZe Clan, G2 Esports and paiN all stayed alive with wins in their elimination matches and will play again Sunday.

Eternal Fire rallied from a map down to beat Virtus.pro after dropping Overpass 13-6. EF responded with a 13-6 win on Vertigo and 13-7 on Inferno.

Vitality opened with a 19-16 win on Inferno but lost Vertigo 13-7. Vitality clinched with a 13-10 win on Anubis.

C9 also rallied from a map down. Na’Vi opened with a 16-14 win on Mirage. But C9 posted a 13-6 win on Ancient and 13-2 win on Overpass to clinch.

Imperial, ECSTATIC and Heroic were eliminated after losing their low matches.

Twenty-four teams began the Counter-Strike 2 tournament, 16 of which had to go through the opening stage. Eight advanced to the elimination stage to join eight previous qualifiers. For the first two stages, play is conducted using the Swiss System format.

Matches in which elimination or advancement is on the line are best-of-three. All others are best-of-one. When moving on to the next round, teams don’t play an opponent that they have already faced.

Elimination-stage action runs through Sunday using the Swiss System, with best-of-three elimination and advancement matches and best-of-one matches in any other scenario.

Playoffs are scheduled for March 28-31. Eight teams will battle in a single-elimination bracket, where all matches are best-of-three.

The elimination stage continues Sunday with Round 5 matches:
