U.S. Men’s National Team captain Tyler Adams is recovering from “non-invasive” hamstring surgery, Premier League side Leeds United confirmed Tuesday.
The 24-year-old midfielder was injured during a practice session ahead of Leeds’ 4-2 win against the Wolverhampton Wanderers on March 18.
Adams did not participate in the USMNT’s CONCACAF Nations League wins against Grenada on Friday or El Salvador on Monday.
No official timeline is available for his recovery, but The Athletic reported he would be out for an “extended spell.”
Adams has started 24 of 27 Premier League matches in his first season with Leeds.
The next match on the USMNT calendar is an April 19 friendly against Mexico in Glendale, Ariz.
