Rain dominated the second round of the SAS Championship on Saturday in Cary, N.C., preventing any player from finishing the round, with 12 holes the most any player was able to complete.

Thailand’s Thonchai Jaidee and Australia’s Rod Pampling owned a share of the lead at 7-under par when play was suspended, but they completed just four and three holes, respectively.

Pampling came into the day with the solo lead at Prestonwood Country Club after shooting a 66 on Friday.

The start of the second round was delayed until 11 a.m. ET and then suspended four minutes later due to heavy rainfall. After a delay of 4 hours and 56 minutes, play resumed at 4 p.m. Play was suspended for the day due to darkness at 6:43 p.m. The course received 1.20 inches of rain in all.

The second round will resume Sunday at 7:45 a.m.

John Huston and Y.E. Yang were the big movers in the short playing window, both at 5 under for their rounds after 12 and 11 holes, respectively. Both golfers vaulted 35 spots up the leaderboard into a tie for third, joining four others, including Harrison Frazar, who carded four birdies through his nine holes.

Lee Janzen, starting on No. 10, began with four birdies to jump into a tie for ninth with a host of players at 5 under.

Jaidee had two birdies among his four holes completed. Pampling had two birdies and a bogey.
