CALLOFDUTY: Ultra stay perfect in qualifying for CDL Stage 1 Major

The Toronto Ultra overcame one hiccup to beat the Los Angeles Guerrillas M8 3-1 on Sunday, allowing them to remain undefeated in qualifying action for the Call of Duty League’s Stage 1 Major.

After racing out to a 2-0 lead, Toronto fell 3-1 on Hacienda Control but immediately bounced back with a 250-228 victory on Skyline Hardpoint. The Ultra have won all six of their qualifying matches.

OpTic Texas stayed right on Toronto’s tail in the standings by rallying for a 3-2 win over the Los Angeles Thieves. Down 2-1, OpTic took Skyline Hardpoint 250-206 and Hacienda Search & Destroy 6-5 to complete the comeback.

Texas sits in second in the standings at 5-1.

In other action Sunday, the Atlanta FaZe dropped a 250-239 decision on Hacienda Hardpoint, then prevailed on the next three maps to top the Minnesota Rokkr 3-1.

Week 4 of qualifying begins Friday with three matches:
–Carolina Royal Ravens vs. Vancouver Surge
–Miami Heretics vs. Los Angeles Thieves
–Boston Breach vs. Atlanta FaZe
