The Miami Heretics continued their climb up the standings, sweeping the Minnesota Rokkr 3-0 on Saturday in qualifying action for the Call of Duty League’s Stage 2 Major.

Miami prevailed 250-168 on Rio Hardpoint, 6-4 on Highrise Search & Destroy and 3-1 on Karachi Control to win its second straight match. The Heretics had dropped their first five to open qualifying.

Spain’s Alejandro “Lucky” Lopez led Miami with 62 kills and a kill-death ratio of plus-1.38. All four of Minnesota’s players finished with sub-1.00 K-D differentials, with Reece “Vivid” Drost dropping a team-high 57 kills.

Each qualifier win is worth 10 points. The prize pool for the tournament (money and CDL points) has yet to be announced.

The Vegas Legion also picked up a sweep on Saturday, downing the Carolina Royals Ravens.

Vegas won 250-153 on Invasion Hardpoint before cruising to victories on Highrise Search & Destroy (6-1) and Karachi Control (3-1). Gio “Gio” Webster dominated for the Legion, racking up 62 kills en route to a plus-1.68 K-D.
