The Atlanta FaZe cruised to a 4-1 victory over OpTic Texas on Sunday to win the Call of Duty League’s Stage 2 Major in Miami.

Atlanta and Texas split the first two maps before the FaZe rattled off three straight wins — 3-2 on Invasion Control, 250-227 on Skidrow Hardpoint and 6-4 on Rio Search & Destroy — to take home $150,000 and 100 CDL points.

Chris “Simp” Lehr of the United States piled up match bests in kills (111) and kill-death ratio (plus-1.29) to lead Atlanta. Countryman Kenneth “Kenny” Williams was the only OpTic player to finish with a positive K-D differential (plus-1.18), doing so by amassing 109 kills.

Thanks to his performance, Lehr was named MVP.

Before Sunday’s grand final, the teams met in the winners-bracket final, where the FaZe downed Texas 3-1.

Things played out just like they did in the grand final, as the squads were tied at 1 heading into the third map before Atlanta caught fire. This time the FaZe needed only a pair of wins, though, and they got them on Invasion Control (3-1) and Karachi Hardpoint (250-237).

With the loss, OpTic went down to the elimination-bracket final to face the New York Subliners.

OpTic opened with a 250-151 blowout on Sub Base Hardpoint before stumbling to a 6-4 setback on Karachi Search & Destroy. Texas took the next two maps to come out on top, 3-1.

New York punched its ticket to the elimination-bracket final with a 3-0 sweep of the Toronto Ultra earlier Sunday.

Next up for the Call of Duty League is the Stage 3 Major in Toronto. Qualifying action for the event begins April 12.
