American No. 2 seed Tommy Paul and countryman Marcos Giron both pulled off sweeps on Saturday to advance to the final of the Dallas Open in Texas.

Giron upset French fourth seed Adrian Mannarino 6-1, 6-3, while Paul got the best of No. 3 seed Ben Shelton of the United States 6-2, 6-4.

Thanks in large part to winning 24 of 28 first-service points, Giron never trailed against Mannarino, who posted five aces against two double faults. Giron racked up twice as many winners as Mannarino in the victory (24-12).

Meanwhile, Paul saved all three break points he faced and won 27 of 37 first-service points. He trailed 2-1 in the first set but won the next five games and coasted from there.

Open 13 Provence

Second-seeded Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov overcame an early deficit to defeat Russian third seed Karen Khachanov 6-7 (3), 6-4, 7-6 (5) in the semifinals at Marseille, France.

Dimitrov finished with 19 aces and also saved four of six break points. He faced a 6-5 deficit in the third set but rallied to force a tiebreaker, where he trailed 4-2 before coming alive once again to advance to the final.

In the other semifinal match, Ugo Humbert of France, the No. 4 seed, sank No. 1 seed Hubert Hurkacz of Poland 6-4, 6-4.

Cordoba Open

Italian qualifier Luciano Darderi upset second-seeded Argentine Sebastian Baez 6-1, 3-6, 6-3 in the semifinals in Argentina.

Darderi saved six of nine break points to secure his spot in the final. Things were tied at 1-all in the third set before Darderi pulled away, as he won six of the next seven games, clinching the victory on the third match point.

In Saturday’s other semifinal, qualifier Facundo Bagnis beat Federico Coria 6-3, 7-5 in an all-Argentine clash.
