The doubleheader scheduled for Saturday between the Philadelphia Phillies and host Washington Nationals has been moved to Friday, due to the impending arrival of the remnants of Hurricane Ian.

The teams will now play a day-night doubleheader on Friday, with the first game to be played at 1:05 p.m. ET. First pitch of the second game will be at 7:05, as scheduled.

The teams will play at 1:05 p.m. ET on Saturday as originally scheduled.

Inclement weather is forecasted to hit the Washington, D.C., region over the weekend. Tropical Storm Ian is expected to regain its strength and become Hurricane Ian again after exiting Florida on Thursday.

It’s tracking to make landfall again on the South Carolina coast and continue to lumber north. The center will move farther inland across the Carolinas Friday night and Saturday.
