The Arizona Diamondbacks activated re-acquired infielder Sergio Alcantara, and he will be available for Thursday night’s game against the Colorado Rockies in Phoenix.

The Padres claimed Alcantara off waivers from the Diamondbacks on May 9, and Arizona re-claimed him on Tuesday when the Padres waived him.

Between the two teams, Alcantara, who turns 26 on Sunday, is batting .159 (14-for-88) with one homer and 10 RBIs in 45 games on the season.

In additional moves, the Diamondbacks optioned Jake Hager to Triple-A Reno and outrighted fellow infielder Cole Tucker to the same affiliate.

Hager, 29, batted .240 with three RBIs in 28 games for Arizona.

Tucker, 26, was claimed by Arizona off waivers from the Pittsburgh Pirates in early June. He hit .175 in 18 games and drove in two runs with Pittsburgh before the move, and has batted .235 with one homer and nine RBIs in 22 games for Reno.
