A baseball game between Louisville and North Carolina was suspended for more than two hours Sunday afternoon after the University of Louisville Police Department received a bomb threat for the on-campus Jim Patterson Stadium.

The game was in progress when police informed athletic officials of the threat and halted the game. About 2,000 fans evacuated the stadium along with both teams, according to ESPN.

A university spokesperson told media outlets that an anonymous threat posted in an online chat room was discovered and reported to the police. City and county police soon arrived at the scene along with bomb-sniffing dogs.

The site was swept and eventually cleared, with police not finding any explosives.

The game had been suspended in the top of the sixth inning with North Carolina ahead 5-1. When the game resumed, spectators were not allowed to return to the stadium as a precaution.

Louisville, ranked No. 12 in the country, came back to force extra innings and won 6-5 in the 14th inning on a walk-off RBI single by Isaac Humphrey.
