The Charlotte Hornets won’t have forward Gordon Hayward available for the upcoming NBA play-in tournament.

The team announced Sunday that the 32-year-old veteran will be out at least two weeks after having his troublesome left foot placed in a cast.

Hayward already had been ruled out for Sunday’s regular-season finale against the visiting Washington Wizards. He has appeared in just one game since Feb. 7.

Hayward averaged 15.9 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.6 assists in 49 games (48 starts) in 2021-22, his second season in Charlotte.

Over his 12-year NBA career, Hayward has posted averages of 15.6 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists in 734 games (571 starts) with the Utah Jazz, Boston Celtics and Charlotte. He was an All-Star in 2016-17.
