ESPN reported the news citing Lucas’ agent, Dan Saffron.

Lucas, 30, appeared in 29 games (15 starts) during his two previous seasons with Washington. He has played in 82 games (31 starts) with the Detroit Lions (2014-16), Los Angeles Rams (2017), New Orleans Saints (2018), Chicago Bears (2019) and Washington.

He entered the league in 2014 as an undrafted free agent.

–The Philadelphia Eagles have re-signed defensive end Derek Barnett to a two-year contract.

Terms were not released by the team.

Barnett, 25, had two sacks and 11 quarterback hits in 16 games (15 starts) last season. He has 21.5 career sacks in 64 games (45 starts) for the Eagles, who selected him No. 14 overall in the 2017 draft.

The Eagles added pass rusher Haason Reddick last week and also have Brandon Graham and Josh Sweat under contract. Sweat made the Pro Bowl in 2021 with 7.5 sacks.

–Defensive end Kerry Hyder Jr. will rejoin the San Francisco 49ers on a one-year, $1.5 million deal, ESPN reported.

Per the report, Hyder will receive $750,000 guaranteed and $750,000 in sack incentives.

Hyder, 30, recorded career-high totals in sacks (8.5) and tackles (49) with the 49ers in 2020 before signing with the Seattle Seahawks last season. He collected 33 tackles, two fumble recoveries and 1.5 sacks in 15 games (seven starts) with the Seahawks before being released earlier this month.

–The Green Bay Packers’ contract with tight end Robert Tonyan is a one-year, $3.75 million deal, NFL Network reported.

Tonyan, 27, gets a $1 million signing bonus and can earn up to $5.5 million total based on incentives for playing time and making the Pro Bowl.

He caught 18 passes for 204 yards and two touchdowns in eight games last season before tearing his right ACL. He has 84 catches for 967 yards and 15 scores in 51 games (15 starts) with the Packers since 2018.

–The Tampa Bay Buccaneers re-signed wide receiver Breshad Perriman. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Perriman, 28, began his second stint with Tampa Bay when he signed as a free agent in the middle of the 2021 season. He played six games, grabbing 11 receptions for 167 yards and a touchdown.

In six seasons with the Baltimore Ravens (2016-17), Cleveland Browns (2018), Bucs (2019, 2021) and New York Jets (2020), Perriman has totaled 136 receptions for 2,233 yards and 15 touchdowns.

Tampa Bay also re-signed veteran defensive lineman William Gholston for what will be his 10th season with the team. The 30-year-old set a career high with 4.5 sacks last season in 17 games (10 starts).

–The Miami Dolphins released wide receiver Allen Hurns on a failed physical designation.

Hurns last appeared in an NFL game in the 2019 season. He opted out of the 2020 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic and suffered a wrist injury in August 2021 that required surgery and forced him onto injured reserve.

Hurns, 30, was a Miami native who also played his college football with the Miami Hurricanes. His best NFL campaign came in 2015, when he caught 64 receptions for 1,031 yards and 10 touchdowns for the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Dolphins parted ways with Hurns after upgrading their receiving corps with a trade for Tyreek Hill on Wednesday.

Miami also released offensive lineman Jesse Davis, who appeared in 80 games (72 starts) at guard and tackle over the past five seasons for the Dolphins.

–The Las Vegas Raiders signed safety Duron Harmon and linebacker Jayon Brown to one-year deals.

Harmon, 31, played last season in Atlanta and won three Super Bowl titles with the New England Patriots. He had two interceptions in 17 starts in 2021 for the Falcons. He has 21 career interceptions in 144 games (62 starts) for the Patriots, Detroit Lions and Falcons.

Brown, 27, joins the Raiders after five seasons in Tennessee. He has 385 tackles, four interceptions, four forced fumbles and 28 passes defensed in 66 games (39 starts) since the Titans selected him in the fifth round of the 2017 draft.

–Buffalo Bills restricted free agent Ryan Bates signed an offer sheet with the Chicago Bears. The Bills have five days to match.

The Bears would not have to send a draft pick to Buffalo in the event Bates signs as he was given the lowest tender.

Bates, 25, started a career-high four games for the Bills in 2021. He’s played in 41 games, starting those four. He signed as an undrafted free agent in 2019.

The Bills also re-signed special teams captain Taiwan Jones.

Jones, 30, played a career-high 71 percent of snaps on special teams for the Bills in 2021, his second in Buffalo.

He has 12 tackles on special teams over the past two seasons.

Jones spent his first six seasons with the then-Oakland Raiders after they selected him in the fourth round of the 2011 draft.
