The Seattle Storm signed veteran forward Jantel Lavender.

Terms of the deal announced Monday were not released.

Lavender, 33, averaged 6.4 points and 3.9 rebounds in 27 games (14 starts) last season with the Indiana Fever.

“Jantel’s toughness, veteran leadership, and championship level experience complement our roster tremendously,” Storm coach Noelle Quinn said. “She is a premier forward in our league with offensive and defensive versatility and I am excited to have her join the Storm this season.”

Lavender owns career averages of 8.5 points and 4.7 rebounds in 315 games (111 starts) with the Los Angeles Sparks (2011-18), Chicago Sky (2019) and Fever. She was an All-Star in 2015.
