Jack Hughes of the New Jersey Devils scored two goals to help the Metropolitan Division team to a 6-4 win against the Pacific Division in the first semifinal at the NHL All-Star Game on Saturday afternoon in Las Vegas.

Hughes, at age 20, is the youngest participant in the All-Star Game since his brother, Quinn Hughes, played for the Vancouver Canucks at the same age in 2020.

Claude Giroux and Jake Guentzel each had a goal and an assist, Tom Wilson, and Sebastian Aho also scored for the Metro Division. Frederik Andersen made six saves and Tristan Jarry made five saves.

Timo Meier, Jonathan Marchessault, Jordan Eberle and Mark Stone scored for the Pacific Division. John Gibson and Thatcher Demko made 10 saves apiece.

Hughes scored with 3:44 left to give the Metro Division a 4-3 lead

Guentzel made it 5-3 with 2:20 left, and Hughes scored into an empty net to make it 6-3 with 1:09 remaining.

Stone made it 6-4 with 22 seconds left.

Eberle, the first All Star for the Seattle Kraken in its inaugural season, scored on a breakaway to tie the score 3-3 at 14:27.

Wilson scored 13 seconds into the semifinal to give the Metro Division a 1-0 lead.

Wilson joined the Metro Division team after his teammate on the Washington Capitals, forward Alex Ovechkin, tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday.

Meier answered with a goal at 2:27 to tie the score 1-1, but that would be the only puck that got past Andersen in his 10 minutes of action.

Giroux, playing in his seventh All-Star Game for the Philadelphia Flyers, moved the Metro Division back ahead 2-1 at 3:08, and Aho tacked on another goal at 3:20 for a 3-1 lead.

Marchessault cut the deficit to 3-2 when he scored at 12:57
