Former Ohio State cornerback Sevyn Banks withdrew from consideration for the 2022 NFL Draft due to an injury and entered the transfer portal.
Banks announced the news Thursday on social media, leaving open the possibility of returning to the Buckeyes.
“At this time, I am very grateful that my rehab is going great,” he posted on Twitter. “To which, I will continue getting stronger by the day preparing for the 2022 NCAA football season and the 2023 NFL Draft.
“To Buckeye Nation: I will be Entering the NCAA Transfer Portal – leaving my options open to wherever God leads me to dominate into a Greater Chapter of my College Career. Whether it’s here at The Ohio State or going Beyond.”

Ohio State coach Ryan Day announced Monday that Banks had graduated and was no longer with the program.
He appeared in 36 games from 2018-21, registering 43 tackles, 13 passes defensed and two interceptions.
Banks missed the final three games of the 2021 season due to an undisclosed injury, including the Rose Bowl win against Utah.
