Zach Edey scored 22 points and grabbed nine rebounds in just 20 minutes Friday night as No. 7 Purdue established a 17-2 lead and never looked back in a 92-65 rout of Nebraska at West Lafayette, Ind.

Jaden Ivey added 17 points and five assists for the Boilermakers (14-2, 3-2 Big Ten), while Trevion Williams came off the bench to chip in 10 points.

Purdue connected on 49.2 percent of its field-goal attempts and enjoyed a 28-7 advantage in points off turnovers.

Keisei Tominaga scored a team-high 11 points for the Cornhuskers (6-12, 0-7), who shot 45.6 percent from the field but hurt themselves with 17 turnovers. They were also outrebounded 41-31.

Nebraska’s C.J. Wilcher and Alonzo Verge Jr. added 10 points apiece.

The Cornhuskers, who dropped to 5-41 in their past 46 conference games, found foul trouble at the start of both halves. Center Derrick Walker, who played Illinois All-America candidate Kofi Cockburn to a standstill Tuesday night in an 81-71 loss, fouled out with eight points after just 20 minutes.

Nebraska’s leading scorer, Bryce McGowens, also found quick foul trouble, picking up two fouls before the first TV timeout. He was held to nine points in 33 minutes.

The game’s tone was set on the Boilermakers’ first possession. Purdue drew a quick foul on Walker before shaking Sasha Stefanovic loose on a pick play. He nailed a 3-pointer from the top of the key, and Purdue never looked back.

The Cornhuskers put the Boilermakers in the bonus prior to the first TV timeout. Purdue stayed in attack mode, going up by 15 at the 14:29 mark when Ivey bombed in a 3-pointer from the top of the key.

Nebraska found traction for a few minutes after the margin swelled to 23-4. McGowens drilled a 3-pointer to slice the deficit to 29-17 with 7:18 left in the half.

The Cornhuskers also had the last say in the first half when Wilcher banked in a running 30-footer from just in front of the Purdue logo, making it 48-33 at halftime.

The Boilermakers scored the first six points after the break to increase the lead to 21.
