The Utah Jazz placed veteran forward Joe Ingles in the COVID-19 protocol on Tuesday.

Ingles is the first player Utah placed in the protocol this season. The Jazz are the last NBA team to have a player go on the COVID-19 list.

Ingles played in Utah’s 115-104 victory over the host New Orleans Pelicans on Monday but was highly ineffective. He scored two points on 1-of-4 shooting in 26 minutes.

In fact, Ingles is averaging just 3.0 points on 3-of-14 shooting over the past three games.

Overall, the 34-year-old Ingles is averaging 7.6 points, 3.6 assists and 2.9 rebounds in 36 games (eight starts) this season.

Utah also listed centers Rudy Gobert (shoulder), Hassan Whiteside (concussion) and Udoka Azubuike (ankle) and forwards Bojan Bogdanovic (sprained finger) and Royce O’Neale (knee) as questionable for Wednesday’s road game against the Denver Nuggets.

The Jazz listed star guard Donovan Mitchell (back) and sixth man Jordan Clarkson (back) as probable.
