Postponements and cancellations continued Wednesday in men’s college basketball because of COVID-19.

The game between Kansas State (8-3) and North Florida (4-9), set for Wednesday, was canceled because of COVID-19 issues within the Ospreys program.

The game will not be rescheduled. It was a late addition to the schedule last week after the Wildcats’ originally scheduled opponent, Morgan State, backed out because of COVID-19.

Out west, the Pac-12 game between Washington (5-5) and Washington State (8-5) was postponed due to COVID-19 issues with the Cougars. The game, to be played in Pullman, Wash., is expected to be rescheduled.

Already this season, the Huskies had a game postponed against UCLA and a contest with Gonzaga canceled. This is the first game called off for the Cougars.

In other Pac-12 news, Sunday’s scheduled game between Stanford and Cal was postponed because of health and safety protocols within the Stanford program. In place of the postponed contest, Cal (8-5) will host Arizona State (5-7) on Sunday, moving their game previously scheduled for Jan. 19.

Arizona State was available to play an earlier game because its weekend trip to Los Angeles was canceled with both UCLA and Southern Cal programs on pause.

UConn continues to experience COVID-related challenges and canceled Saturday’s home game against Butler.

Looking ahead, West Virginia announced the postponement of Monday’s game at TCU because of COVID-19 protocols within the Horned Frogs program. Earlier in the week, TCU also postponed its game at No. 6 Kansas (9-1) set for Saturday due to protocols. The schools are working with the Big 12 Conference to reschedule the game.

On Wednesday, Kansas announced it will host George Mason (7-5) on Saturday at Allen Fieldhouse, replacing the previously scheduled game vs. TCU.
