The Bears (11-0), who maintained the top spot in the rankings for a second straight week after a gritty 78-70 win at Oregon on Saturday, remained perfect at home this season. Baylor extended its home winning streak to a program-record 20 consecutive games and won its 35th straight contest against nonconference teams.

Kendall Brown also scored 16 points for Baylor while James Akinjo added 14 and Adam Flagler tallied 12. LJ Cryer was held out of the game as he nurses a right foot injury.

Dominic Brewton led all scorers with 19 points for Alcorn State (1-10), and Darrious Agnew added 12.
