NCAAB: No. 18 Tennessee-Memphis game off due to COVID-19 issues

Saturday afternoon’s game pitting No. 18 Tennessee against Memphis was canceled due to COVID-19 issues within the Tigers’ program.

Both teams’ official Twitter accounts announced the cancellation of the game.

The Volunteers (8-2) and Memphis (6-4) were scheduled to play at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn.

The Volunteers elected to hold a 5-on-5 scrimmage instead. They will return to action on Wednesday against No. 8 Arizona in Knoxville, Tenn.

Other weekend games postponed or canceled include Temple at Drexel (Saturday), Rider at Rutgers (Saturday), Vermont at Northeastern (Sunday) and Dallas Christian at McNeese State (Saturday). COVID-19 issues were reported in the Drexel, Northeastern and Dallas Christian programs.
