The Rockets trailed by as many as 19 points and entered the fourth quarter trailing 101-88, but they scored a season-high 44 points in the final quarter to improve to 2-12 on the road this season. The Hawks lost their fifth straight homecourt game and have dropped four of their past five contests overall.

The Houston bench produced a season-high 62 points. In addition to Augustin, Kenyon Martin Jr. had 13 points, Alperen Sengun scored 11 and David Nwaba, who had strong fourth quarter, contributed 10.

Atlanta took a 101-88 lead into the fourth quarter, but the Rockets cut the deficit into single digits by scoring the first five points. Houston took the lead on Augustin’s 3-pointer that made it 121-119 with 3:31 left as part of a 10-0 run. Houston converted 8 of 11 3-point attempts in the final quarter.

Atlanta’s Trae Young finished with 41 points and nine assists but saw his streak of five straight games with 25-plus points and 10-plus assists end.

Hawks big man Clint Capela had 12 points and 16 rebounds in the first game against his former team.
