Graham Ike and Hunter Maldonado each had a double-double as Wyoming defeated host Washington 77-72 in overtime in a nonconference game Thursday night in Seattle.

Ike had 26 points and 10 rebounds and Maldonado added 24 points and 10 boards for the Cowboys (3-0), who were playing their first road game of the season. Teammate Xavier DuSell scored 15.

Terrell Brown Jr. scored 30 points for Washington (2-2) and Jamal Bey added 10 points and eight rebounds. The Huskies wrapped up their season-opening, four-game homestand and will play in the Crossover Classic next week in Sioux Falls, S.D.

After Maldonado and Brown traded baskets to open overtime, Jeremiah Oden made a turnaround jumper to put Wyoming up 69-67. Ike converted two free throws and a second-chance layup to extend the lead to 73-67, and the Huskies never got closer than three the rest of the way.

Wyoming trailed 62-55 with 5:15 remaining in the second half before going on a 9-0 run, taking the lead on Ike’s layup with 1:03 left.

Brown converted a three-point play to give the Huskies a 65-64 lead with 44 seconds remaining before Ike made the second of two free throws with 28 seconds left to tie it.

The Huskies held the ball for the final shot in regulation, but Brown missed a driving layup with three seconds left.

Wyoming led 34-31 at halftime as Ike had 17 points and Maldonado 11.

The Huskies led 10-6 before Wyoming went on a 9-0 run, with Ike scoring five points and Maldonado adding a 3-pointer.

Washington regained the lead on a 3-pointer by Daejon Davis with 4:01 left in the half. PJ Fuller’s turnaround jumper gave the Huskies a 29-26 lead with 2:31 remaining.

But Wyoming closed the half with an 8-2 run. Ike’s second-chance layup with 18 seconds left made it 34-31.

Ike was limited by foul trouble in the second half, but he caused the same against Washington. Nate Roberts and Emmitt Matthews Jr. both fouled out while trying to stop the Cowboys’ big man.
