CSGO: MAD Lions, forZe advance to semis of DreamHack Open November 2021

MAD Lions and forZe won decider matches Friday to move to the semifinals of the $100,000 DreamHack Open November 2021.

MAD defeated MOUZ 2-0 to advance out of Group A. In Group B, forZe came from behind to defeat ENCE 2-1.

MOUZ jumped to an 11-4 lead on Dust II, but MAD fought back, outscoring their opponent 12-2 for a 16-13 win. MAD was in command of the second game, Nuke, from the beginning, taking a 12-3 lead on the way to a 16-8 win.

Justinas “jL” Lekavicius of Lithuania had 45 kills and a plus-15 kills-to-deaths differential for MAD. Estonian Robin “ropz” Kool was the only player from MOUZ with a positive differential, recording 42 kills and 33 deaths.

In Group B, ENCE took a quick 16-7 win on Ancient. Then, forZe rebounded with a 16-8 win on Nuke and a 16-10 victory on Mirage to advance.

Russian Evgeny “Norwi” Ermolin had a big day for forZe, recording 61 kills and a plus-18 differential. Lotan “Spinx” Giladi of Israel had 53 kills and a plus-4 differential for ENCE.

Saturday’s semifinals will feature MAD vs. Fnatic and forZe vs. BIG.

The semifinals are a best-of-three set, while the grand final on Sunday will be a best-of-five series.
