The Bobcats led by three at halftime and expanded their advantage to 51-38 about four minutes into the second half, but the Buffaloes started to close the gap.

After a timeout they hit a layup and forced two turnovers that led to a 3-pointer and a three-point play, and the lead was only 51-46. Montana State answered with five straight points to increase the lead to 10.

The teams traded free throws and 3-pointers, keeping it a 10-point Bobcats lead before Colorado started to rally.

Tristan Da Silva and Walker made layups around a Bobcats turnover, Clifford hit two free throws, Barthelemy made another layup and Walker converted a three-point play to pull the Buffaloes to within 70-69 with 5:05 left.

It was tied again at 75 when Bishop hit a go-ahead 3-pointer with 1:44 left. Colorado missed twice on its next possession, and Mohamed sank two free throws with 53 seconds remaining to go up by five.
