Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Chase Claypool is having an MRI exam on his injured toe Tuesday.

Claypool suffered the injury during Monday night’s win over the Chicago Bears, though Steelers coach Mike Tomlin offered no details as to how or when it happened. Claypool left the game during the fourth quarter but did return. He finished with three catches for 30 yards.

The results will determine Claypool’s availability this week in practice and Sunday’s game against the Detroit Lions. The Steelers lost JuJu Smith-Schuster for the season last month with a shoulder injury.

Claypool, 23, has 29 catches for 433 yards and one touchdown in seven games (six starts). He hauled in nine TD catches last season as a rookie.

Also, Tomlin said he expects tight end Eric Ebron back at practice Wednesday after he missed the past two games with a hamstring injury.

Injuries could also limit practice participation of defensive linemen Cam Heyward (ankle) and Isaiah Buggs (hip) and linebacker Robert Spillane (ankle).

The Steelers (5-3) host the Lions (0-8) on Sunday in Week 10.
