NCAAB: Alabama lands two recruits, including second 5-star of 2022

Five-star forward Brandon Miller and four-star forward Noah Clowney committed to Alabama on Monday, strengthening an already stellar 2022 recruiting class in Tuscaloosa.

The 6-foot-8 prospect from Tennessee chose Alabama over Kansas, mid-major Tennessee State, the G League Ignite and Australia’s National Basketball League.

Miller is the No. 11 overall prospect in the Class of 2022 per 247Sports’ Composite rankings, and the third-ranked small forward.

Miller makes two five-star commitments to the Crimson Tide. The program previously landed five-star point guard Jaden Bradley, ranked No. 18 in the class.

Also on Monday, power forward Clowney announced his decision to play for Alabama, which beat out Indiana and Virginia Tech.

Alabama and coach Nate Oats have continued to capitalize on a basketball boom at the traditional football power. The Crimson Tide won the SEC regular-season and tournament titles in 2020-21 before reaching the Sweet 16.
