Chicago Bulls guard Zach LaVine has a small tear in the thumb of his non-shooting hand, but intends to play through the injury, according to The Athletic.

It’s unclear when the original injury occurred, but he reportedly wants to avoid being sidelined with the Bulls still undefeated at 4-0.

An MRI on Tuesday confirmed the injury, according to NBC Chicago.

LaVine, 26, is averaging 25.5 points, 5.3 rebounds and 4.8 assists through the first four games.

He finished with 22 points in the Bulls’ most recent game, a 111-108 win over the Toronto Raptors on Monday night.

The Bulls have home games against the New York Knicks on Thursday and the Utah Jazz on Saturday.
