The Cincinnati Bengals placed cornerback Trae Waynes on injured reserve Tuesday.

Waynes sustained a right hamstring injury in the Bengals’ 25-22 overtime loss to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. The move means Waynes will miss at least three games.

Waynes, 29, has recorded five tackles in two games this season.

After signing a three-year, $42 million deal with Cincinnati in March 2020, Waynes missed all of last season with a torn pectoral muscle sustained in training camp.

Wayne has 252 tackles and seven interceptions in 76 career games (55 starts) with the Minnesota Vikings (2015-19) and Bengals.

Also on Tuesday, the Bengals released rookie punter Drue Chrisman from the practice squad, and signed cornerback Holton Hill and halfback Elijah Holyfield, son of former heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield, to the practice squad.
