The Cincinnati Bengals activated safety Ricardo Allen from injured reserve on Saturday, but guard Xavier Su’a-Filo took his place on IR due to a knee injury.

Allen, 29, has been sidelined since injuring his hand in the season-opening win against the Minnesota Vikings. He had five tackles in the 27-24 victory.

The veteran signed a one-year, $1.49 million deal with the Bengals in March after playing his first six NFL seasons with Atlanta. He collected 11 interceptions in 77 games (76 starts) with the Falcons from 2015-20.

Su’a-Filo, 30, will miss at least the next three games, starting with Sunday’s contest between the host Bengals (3-1) and the Green Bay Packers (3-1).

Su’a-Filo has not played since Week 2. The former second-round pick has played in 83 games (60 starts) with the Houston Texans (2014-17), Dallas Cowboys (2018-19) and Cincinnati.
