PGA: Brandt Snedeker (back) withdraws from Valero Texas Open

Brandt Snedeker withdrew from the Valero Texas Open in San Antonio prior to the first round on Thursday due to a back issue.

Snedeker, 44, has won nine PGA Tour events, plus the 2012 FedEx Cup.

Listed at 365th in the Official World Golf Ranking, Snedeker missed the cut last week at the Texas Children’s Houston Open.
