Indiana transfer Malik Reneau announced Wednesday that he’s returning home to play at Miami in 2025-26.

Reneau, who hails from nearby Hialeah, announced March 19 that he was transferring after three seasons in Bloomington, Ind.

The 6-foot-9 forward chose Miami and new head coach Jai Lucas over Auburn, Arkansas, Michigan and Southern California, making the announcement in a post to X.

Reneau was Indiana’s leading scorer this past season, averaging 13.3 points to go with 5.5 rebounds in 26 games (19 starts). The Hoosiers (19-13) lost to Oregon in the Big Ten tournament and declined an NIT bid after failing to make the NCAA Tournament.

Reneau averaged 11.4 points and 5.0 rebounds in 94 career games (55 starts) for the Hoosiers. Reneau was a four-star prospect coming out of Florida’s Montverde Academy.
