Reilyn Turner scored a goal in the 30th minute and the Portland Thorns finished off a 1-1 draw against visiting Angel City FC in their home opener Friday night.

Turner’s first goal in her second season in Portland helped the Thorns (0-1-1, 1 point) rebound from a 3-1 road loss to the Kansas City Current in their season opener last week. Mackenzie Arnold made four saves for Portland.

The Thorns remained unbeaten in six all-time home games against Angel City (4-0-2)

Kennedy Fuller scored in the ninth minute for Angel City (0-0-2, 2 points), who have finished with 1-1 draws in each of their first two matches this season. The 18-year-old scored her second career NWSL goal after coming away with one in 19 games last season.

Angelina Anderson had eight saves for Angel City.

Fuller gave Angel City the early lead when she spun around at the top of the penalty area to create some space from Portland’s Sam Coffey and fired a left-footed shot past Arnold.

Just over 20 minutes later, the Thorns found the equalizer when a corner kick bounced through the penalty area to the opposite side of goal where Turner tapped the ball with the side of her right foot past Anderson for the goal.

Anderson preserved the tie for Angel City when she made a save on a long-range shot from Hina Sugita in the 83rd minute. Arnold did the same in the 88th minute when she saved a shot from just outside the 6-yard box by Alyssa Thompson.

Anderson again came through in the third minute of second-half stoppage time on a point-blank save off a shot from Alexa Spanstra.
