LOL: Hanwha Life Esports unbeaten entering First Stand playoffs

Hanwha Life Esports finished a 4-0 round-robin stage with a 2-1 win Friday against Team Liquid at the 2025 First Stand Tournament in Seoul, South Korea.

Four teams advanced to the best-of-five knockout stage of Riot Games’ $1 million League of Legends event, where the winner of Sunday’ grand final will pocket $300,000. Liquid was eliminated in fifth place, earning $130,000.

Hanwha Life Esports opened with a 28-minute wind on red before Liquid answered with a 34-minute win on blue. HLE clinched the win with a 28-minute victory on blue.

CTBC Flying Oyster finished second in the round-robin stage after Friday’s 2-0 sweep against Top Esports. CFO posted a 29-minute win on blue and a 32-minute win on red.

Saturday’s knockout stage semifinals:
