Orlando Magic guard Jalen Suggs will undergo arthroscopic surgery to remove a cartilage fragment in his left knee and is out indefinitely.

Suggs has been sidelined since sustaining what was reported as a left quad contusion during Orlando’s 121-113 victory over the Detroit Pistons on Jan. 25.

Signed to a five-year, $150.5 million extension, Suggs has averaged a career-high 16.2 points and 4.0 rebounds along with 3.7 assists in 35 games (all starts) this season.

Suggs, 23, has averaged 12.3 points, 3.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists in 211 games (174 starts) since being selected by the Magic with the fifth overall pick of the 2021 NBA Draft out of Gonzaga.
