The Green Bay Packers have held trade talks involving star cornerback Jaire Alexander, NFL Network reported Wednesday.
The report comes one day after Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst’s lukewarm response when asked about the team’s plans for Alexander in 2025.
“We’ll see, we’re working through that,” Gutekunst said Tuesday. “We’ll work through that as we go along.”
Alexander, who has two years remaining on his current contract, has been limited to just seven games over each of the last two seasons. He underwent knee surgery after this past campaign.
Alexander, 28, had 16 tackles and two interceptions — one returned for a touchdown — and one forced fumble in seven games in 2024.
A two-time Pro Bowler, Alexander totaled 287 tackles and 12 interceptions in 78 career games (76 starts) since being selected by the Packers with the 18th overall pick of the 2018 NFL Draft.
