DOTA: Tundra handle HEROIC at DreamLeague Season 25

Tundra Esports edged HEROIC 2-1 on Monday and grabbed sole possession of third place in Group Stage 2 play of DreamLeague Season 25.

Tundra improved to 3-1, one game behind PARAVISION (4-0) and Chimera Esports (4-0). PARIVISION swept Team Liquid 2-0, and Chimera Esports rallied past BetBoom Team 2-1. In the day’s other match, Team Spirit (2-2) trounced Team Falcons 2-0.

Group Stage 2 of the $1 million Dota 2 event is a single round-robin group with eight teams facing off in best-of-three matches. Each team will play every other team once.

The top two teams from Group Stage 2 will head to the upper bracket of the playoffs, the third- and fourth-place teams will land in the lower bracket, and the remaining teams will be eliminated.

The playoffs begin Saturday and feature a double-elimination bracket. All matches are best-of-three aside from the grand final on Sunday, which is best-of-five. The winning team gets $250,000 and a club reward of $40,000. There will also be 20,440 ESL Pro Tour points distributed to the participants.

On Monday, Tundra Esports posted a 34-minute win on green, but HEROIC equalized with a 55-minute win on green. Tundra took the decisive third map in 50 minutes on red. Russia’s Anton “dyrachyo” Shkredov guided Tundra at 10.0/6.0/9.3. Nicaragua’s Yuma “Yuma” Langlet ended up at 11.0/4.3/8.0 for HEROIC.

Team Spirit topped Team Falcons in 29 minutes and 35 minutes, both on green. Ukraine’s Illya “Yatoro” Mulyarchuk recorded an average 6.5/1.5/13.0 kill-death-assist ratio for Team Spirit. Jordan’s Ammar “ATF” Al-Assaf wound up at 4.0/5.5/4.5 for Team Falcons.

PARIVISION also logged a pair of victories on green, beating Team Liquid in 25 minutes and 44 minutes. Ukraine’s Volodymyr “No(o)ne-” Minenko starred for PARIVISION at 13/3/16. Poland’s Michal “Nisha” Jankowski finished at 7.0/6.5/8.0 for Team Liquid.

BetBoom opened with a 36-minute victory on green before Chimera Esports claimed the next two maps on green, in 40 minutes and 73 minutes. Ukraine’s Artem “lorenof” Melnick led Chimera Esports at 12.0/3.7/10.0. Russia’s Matvey “MieRo” Vasyunin registered a 7.0/5.0/12.7 K-D-A ratio for BetBoom Team.
