Chase Hunter scored 25 points Saturday afternoon to help host Clemson defeat visiting Florida State 77-57 in Atlantic Coast Conference play.

Hunter shot 8 of 14 from the floor and also contributed three rebounds and two assists as the Tigers (13-4, 5-1 ACC) got back in the win column. Clemson also got 15 points from Jaeden Zackery and 12 from Chauncey Wiggins.

Malique Ewen paced Florida State (11-5, 2-3) with 15 points and nine rebounds. Jerry Deng and Jamir Watkins each added 11 points apiece.

The Tigers lost 74-64 to host Louisville on Tuesday.

The Seminoles led by three points midway through the first half, but then the Tigers broke off a 17-6 run to take a multi-possession lead. Zackery had eight points and an assist during that stretch.

In the second half, Clemson went up by 21 points with 3:05 to play after a 15-5 run. The scoring surge was powered by Viktor Lahkin throwing down a dunk off a feed from Zackery. In another sequence in that span, Hunter got possession back for Clemson with a chasedown block, which then led to a corner 3-pointer by Zackery.

Clemson shot a solid 13 of 28 from 3-point land, a 46.4 percent clip. The Tigers entered this game ranked 38th nationally in 3-point shooting average with a 37.7 percent mark. Thirteen marks the most shots from behind the arc that Clemson has made in a single game this season. Hunter shot 5 of 9 from deep for the Tigers.

Clemson made more than triple the amount of deep shots Florida State did, as the Tigers held the Seminoles to 4 of 16 from behind the arc. FSU is 281st nationally in 3-pointers made per game this season with 6.7 makes per game.

The Seminoles led for just six-plus minutes of the contest.

Georgia Tech hosts the Tigers on Tuesday, while Florida State hosts Pitt on Wednesday.
