The Pittsburgh Pirates announced the signing of left-hander Caleb Ferguson to a one-year contract on Friday.

The Pirates did not disclose the financial terms, but multiple media outlets reported it was a $3 million deal.

Ferguson, 28, was dealt from the New York Yankees to the Houston Astros at last season’s trade deadline.

He finished with a 1-4 record, a 4.64 ERA and one save across 62 relief appearances with those two clubs.

Ferguson is 19-13 with a 3.68 ERA and six saves in 263 career games (14 starts) with the Los Angeles Dodgers (2018-20, 2022-23), Yankees and Astros.
