New York Mets outfielder Tyrone Taylor will be sidelined for approximately two months following two surgeries.

The team announced Friday that Taylor underwent an umbilical hernia repair on Oct. 30 in Phoenix with Dr. Venkata Evani.

On Thursday, he had a procedure to remove a loose body in his right elbow in New York with Dr. James Carr.

Taylor, 30, batted .248 with seven homers, 35 RBIs and 11 steals in 130 games in his first season with the Mets in 2024.

He is a career .241 hitter with 48 homers and 171 RBIs in 461 games with the Milwaukee Brewers (2019-23) and Mets. Milwaukee selected Taylor in the second round of the MLB draft in 2012.
