DOTA: Team Falcons win grand final at Betboom Dacha Belgrade

Team Falcons, which beat Tundra Esports on Friday to reach the grand final, beat Tundra again on Saturday to win the $1 million Betboom Dacha Belgrade event in Serbia.

With a 3-2 victory over Tundra Esports in the grand final, Team Falcons earned the $400,000 first prize.

Tundra Esports, which fell to Team Falcons 2-1 in Friday’s upper-bracket final, reached the grand final with a 2-0 sweep of BetBoom Team on Saturday before falling to Team Falcons to finish second overall and take home $200,000.

The 12-team Dota 2 tournament began on Oct. 19. Playoff matches were best-of-three until the best-of-five grand final.

In the grand final, Team Falcons fell behind as Tundra Esports pulled off a 50-minute victory on red but recovered with a 42-minute win on green. After Tundra Esports again went ahead with a 36-minute triumph on red, Team Falcons secured the victory with back-to-back wins on green (47 minutes and 73 minutes).

Earlier Saturday, Tundra Esports notched back-to-back wins over BetBoom on red (23 minutes and 45 minutes) to advance to the grand final.
