Austin FC midfielder Owen Wolff on Tuesday agreed to terms on a contract extension that runs through the 2027 season with a club option for 2028.

Financial terms were not disclosed for Wolff, who has spent parts of four seasons with Austin. The move comes despite the club parting ways with his father, Josh, as its head coach on Oct. 6.

“Austin FC is where I made my professional debut and I’ve grown a lot here in the last few seasons,” Wolff said. “As a young player I want to keep learning and improving and I feel this is a great place for me to do that.”

Woff, 19, had one goal and four assists in 33 matches (17 starts) this season. He has totaled three goals and eight assists in 86 matches (49 appearances) since his 2021 debut.

“Owen is a young player with great potential, who already has significant experience playing games in MLS,” Austin sporting director Rodolfo Borrell said. “We will continue to support his development during the following years.”
