NFL: Steelers S Damontae Kazee downgraded to questionable vs. Jets

The Pittsburgh Steelers downgraded safety Damontae Kazee to questionable for Sunday’s game against the visiting New York Jets.

Kazee, who previously had no injury status, is nursing an ankle injury.

Kazee, 31, has eight tackles and one interception in five games this season. He has totaled 340 tackles, 17 interceptions and seven forced fumbles in 97 career games (62 starts) with the Atlanta Falcons (2017-20), Dallas Cowboys (2021) and Steelers.

Also Saturday, the Steelers (4-2) upgraded defensive tackle Montravius Adams (knee) from questionable to no injury status versus the Jets (2-4).

Adams, 29, has eight tackles and one sack in six games this season.

He has totaled 117 tackles and 2.5 sacks in 91 career games (25 starts) with the Green Bay Packers (2017-20), New Orleans Saints (2021) and Steelers
