The Florida Panthers will be without forward Matthew Tkachuk for about a week due to illness.

The team said Monday they are targeting Oct. 22 as the return date for the 26-year-old veteran.

Tkachuk has recorded two assists in two games this season. He missed Saturday’s 5-2 loss at Buffalo.

The two-time All-Star and 2024 Stanley Cup winner has 581 points (218 goals, 363 assists) in 592 games with the Calgary Flames (2016-22) and Panthers.
