Jordan Eberle scored two goals in regulation and notched the decisive goal in the shootout round to lift the Seattle Kraken to a 5-4 win over the Minnesota Wild on Saturday night in St. Paul, Minn.

Jared McCann helped to force overtime by scoring the game-tying goal with less than four minutes left in regulation for Seattle, which earned its first victory. Tye Kartye also scored in regulation for the Kraken.

Kirill Kaprizov had a goal and two assists for the Wild, but he did not convert during the shootout round. Mats Zuccarello and Matt Boldy each finished with a goal and an assist for Minnesota, which earned one point.

Kraken goaltender Joey Daccord stopped 34 of 38 shots to pick up the victory. He allowed one goal in the shootout round, but Kaprizov and Boldy both missed.

Wild goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury gave up four goals on 34 shots. Oliver Bjorkstrand scored in the shootout round along with Eberle.

Minnesota appeared to be positioned for a two-point night after Ryan Hartman gave the team a 4-3 lead with 7:27 remaining in the third period.

McCann answered for Seattle with 3:26 left to make it 4-4. He scored on a delayed penalty for his first goal of the season.

Neither team scored during a five-minute overtime session.

The Wild opened the scoring midway through the first period. Kaprizov carried the puck behind the net and zipped a pass to Zuccarello, who buried a one-timer for his second goal in as many games.

Minnesota grabbed a 2-0 lead on the power play 1:06 into the second period. Boldy also notched his second goal of the season as Joel Eriksson Ek set a screen in front of the crease.

Seattle pulled even at 2-2 thanks to back-to-back goals from Eberle.

The first goal marked No. 300 in Eberle’s career. He punched in a loose puck in front of the net before Fleury could find it and smother it for a whistle.

Eberle notched his second goal of the game and No. 301 of his career on the power play with 11:45 to go in the second period.

Kaprizov put the Wild back on top 3-2 with his first goal at 1:41 of the third period.

Only 66 seconds later, the Kraken evened it up at 3-3 on Kartye’s first goal.
