Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shad Khan said he still has faith in his team, and that includes general manager Trent Baalke and head coach Doug Pederson.

The Jaguars limped out of the blocks with four losses before they posted a 37-34 victory over the Indianapolis Colts last Sunday.

That win prevented an 0-5 start, which precisely is how Urban Meyer started before he was fired after 13 games (2-11) during Jacksonville’s 2021 season.

It also put an end to nine straight losses by star quarterback Trevor Lawrence, the top overall pick of the 2021 NFL Draft.

“I still believe in them,” Khan told The Florida Times-Union. “I believe in the players, I believe in the coaching staff. I believe in Trent. Obviously, the results are disappointing for all of them, just as well as me or any other Jaguar fan, but the key thing one has to understand (is) we have evolved and really got to a level. I think we’ve got the players, we’ve got the coaching, we’ve got the facilities.”

Pederson is 19-20 since taking over the Jaguars, starting with back-to-back 9-8 seasons. Only one team, the 1992 San Diego Chargers, has rebounded from an 0-4 start to make the playoffs.

Jacksonville will vie for its second straight win on Sunday when it faces the Chicago Bears (3-2) in London.
