On Saturday, the New Orleans Saints ruled five players out for their Monday Night Football road game against the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs.

Utility player/tight end Taysom Hill (rib) was one of the more notable names on the list, after Hill was a heavy contributor for the banged-up Saints against the Atlanta Falcons last week before leaving the game early.

The Saints (2-2) will also be without the services of linebacker Willie Gay Jr. (hand), offensive linemen Cesar Ruiz (knee) and Shane Lemieux (ankle) and defensive end Payton Turner (knee).

One other player, offensive lineman Lucas Patrick, did not participate in practice on Saturday, though he is listed as questionable (groin). Limited were tackle Taliese Fuaga (back/knee) and linebacker Pete Werner (hamstring). Werner is questionable.

Meanwhile, just one Chiefs player was listed as a limited participant in Saturday’s practice for Kansas City (4-0) — running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire. He’s considered doubtful (illness) for Monday.
