DOTA: AVULUS, HEROIC continue ascent at PGL Wallachia Season 2

AVULUS and HEROIC each recorded a 2-0 sweep on Saturday to win their second straight match at the PGL Wallachia Season 2 – Group Stage in Bucharest, Romania.

The $1 million Dota 2 event opened with 16 teams in a modified Swiss-system group stage. The top eight teams will advance to the double-elimination playoffs, while the bottom eight will be eliminated.

All matches are best-of-three except for the best-of-five grand final on Oct. 13. The championship team will pocket $300,000, with the runner-up receiving $175,000.

AVULUS dispatched MOUZ after posting a 33-minute win on green and 36-minute victory on red.

HEROIC defeated Azure Ray after notching a 32-minute win on green and 26-minute triumph on red.

Invictus Gaming and Nouns Esports each recorded a sweep over Apex Genesis and Infinity, respectively.

Saturday’s other Round 2 results were all 2-1 wins: Team Falcons over Alliance, Tundra Esports over L1GA Team, Natus Vincere over Team Waska and Nigma Galaxy over beastcoast.
