Wyatt Langford homered, doubled twice and scored three times to help the Texas Rangers to a 13-8 win against the Toronto Blue Jays on Tuesday night in the opener of a three-game series in Arlington, Texas.

Leody Taveras had a two-run homer and two singles and Adolis Garcia had two hits and three RBIs for the Rangers (72-79), who ended a three-game skid.

Texas starter Nathan Eovaldi allowed seven runs and 11 hits in 4 2/3 innings, striking out four and walking two.

Blue Jays starter Chris Bassitt allowed seven runs (one earned) and six hits in 3 2/3 innings. He struck out two and walked three.

Davis Schneider homered, singled and scored twice and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. had three hits and two runs for the Blue Jays (72-79), who had won three in a row.

The Blue Jays scored two runs in the first on a two-out RBI double by Alejandro Kirk and a run-scoring single by Ernie Clement, and they added another run in the second on an RBI double by Guerrero to make it 3-0.

Bassitt retired the first two batters of the third, but Josh Smith singled, stole second and scored on a double by Langford to make it 3-1.

Garcia followed with a swinging bunt that Bassitt fielded, and the right-hander then threw high to first and the ball continued down the right field line, scoring Langford to make it 3-2.

With runners on first and second and one out in the fourth, Justin Foscue hit a chopper to Clement at third, but Clement’s throw to second was in the dirt and caromed away, allowing the tying run to score.

Following a sacrifice fly from Smith that moved Texas ahead 4-3, the Rangers re-loaded the bases and Garcia came through with a single that plated two more runs for a 6-3 lead.

Nathaniel Lowe followed with an RBI single to center.

Toronto loaded the bases with no outs in the fifth, scoring a run on a double-play grounder, another on a single by Nathan Lukes and two more on the home run by Schneider to tie the game at 7.

Jonah Heim delivered a two-run single off Tommy Nance (0-2) in the sixth to move the Rangers ahead 9-7.

Langford blasted a solo home run in the seventh, making it 10-7.

Reliever Matt Festa (5-1) earned the win for the Rangers after throwing 1 1/3 scoreless innings.

The Blue Jays scored once in the top of the eighth, but Texas answered with three runs in the home half of the frame, which featured Taveras’ two-run shot.
